Blower Trucks

Further. Faster. Without the Labor.

What Is a Blower Truck?

A blower truck uses a pneumatic system, a high-powered combination of blower pressure and air volume to move bulk materials through a large-diameter hose from the truck directly to their final destination. That hose extends up to 350–500 feet, allowing material to reach rooftops, playgrounds, landscape beds, and other areas where equipment and manual labor can’t go efficiently.

For contractors, landscapers, and project managers, blower trucks eliminate the biggest labor drain on material-intensive jobs: the time spent moving material from where it lands to where it needs to go. With a blower truck, material is placed evenly at the correct depth in a single operation. No wheelbarrows. No reloading. No piles. No mess left behind.

Blower Truck Applications

Blown-In Mulch & Landscape Bark

Ground Solutions blower trucks are the most efficient method for mulch delivery and installation in Colorado. Our trucks place blown-in mulch directly into landscape beds through a hose that extends 500 feet – no piles to work around, no cleanup required, and no equipment damaging established plantings. The result is even, precise mulch coverage from one end of the project to the other in a fraction of the time it takes to do it by hand.

Playground Surfacing: EWF, Pea Gravel & More

Ground Solutions is one of Colorado’s most experienced installers of engineered wood fiber playground surfaces. Our blower trucks place EWF quickly and evenly around play equipment at the correct IPEMA-required depth. Ground Solutions proudly provides our own in-house certified engineered wood fiber called Ground Solution. We also install Safe Play, Fibar®, Child Safety Guard, and Playsoft™ surfaces. For playground resurfacing, our hoses reach around existing equipment with minimal site disturbance – no machines tearing up the area, just a clean, fresh surface.

Green Roofs & Rooftop Gardens

Blower truck technology is the most cost-effective method for green roof installation on commercial buildings in Colorado. Our trucks safely place rooflite, extensive and intensive roof soil, mulch, and aggregates on rooftop gardens and planters – up to ten stories high – without disrupting building occupants or requiring extensive manual labor. As Denver’s 2017 green roof ordinance continues to drive demand, Ground Solutions is the team making green roofs practical for commercial builders across the Front Range.

Compost Blanket & Terraseeding

For large-area terraseeding, our blower trucks use a computerized seed control system to distribute seed uniformly throughout the compost as it’s placed. Unlike hydroseeding (which deposits seed on the surface), compost blanket embeds seed within a nutrient-rich layer of amended topsoil or green waste – delivering faster germination and more reliable establishment.
